Home Extension & Kitchen Installation in Exeter
Adding a small extension to make a massive difference in a new kitchen
Kitchenworld transformed this home in Exeter with a complete kitchen redesign, combining thoughtful architectural changes with a beautifully crafted bespoke kitchen to create a brighter, more sociable living space.
The project involved reconfiguring the rear of the property by integrating an existing side porch into the main footprint of the house. Although the extension itself was relatively modest, the clever redesign significantly increased the available floor space, creating a more open and practical kitchen. To maximise natural light, the new angled roof was fitted with a Velux roof window, flooding the room with daylight and enhancing the sense of space. All building work was carried out by the KitchenWorld team, providing the homeowners with a seamless, fully managed service from structural alterations through to the finished kitchen installation.
The new kitchen features smooth matt blue-green cabinetry, paired with warm solid wood worktops to create a contemporary design with timeless character. At the heart of the space is a bespoke kitchen island, complete with an extended worktop overhang that forms a practical breakfast bar, providing the perfect place for casual dining, entertaining or spending time with family.
The finished kitchen is light, spacious and perfectly suited to modern living, demonstrating how thoughtful design and carefully planned structural changes can completely transform the way a home is used.
